Overcoming Stress in a Stressful World
Financial stress, job stress, family stress, environmental stress, situational stress . . . we are all faced with multiple sources of stress every day. Although stress can take a heavy toll on us, many times we either ignore it or get so busy we don't even realize how stressed we have become!
Ever notice how some people seem to manage stress better than others? I have seen people in very similar situations react to stress in very different ways, and I am sure you have, too. Obviously, how we are affected by stress has a great deal to do with how we manage stress.
I have found that taking a break to enjoy a couple of minutes of relaxing music can help reduce stress, increase mental focus, and "recharge" the body's energy. However, like any other skill, learning to relax takes practice, and the more you practice correctly, the more you improve your performance.
